Ontario will remove the full 13% Harmonized Sales Tax (HST) for eligible buyers of new homes valued up to $1.5 million, offering a maximum rebate of $130,000. The rebate decreases for homes up to $1.85 million. This expands previous rebates and is supported by a federal cost-sharing agreement. The enhanced rebates apply from April 1, 2026, to March 31, 2027, for primary residences or rental properties. More details will follow the 2026 Budget.
